3. Wet Scrubber
Features:
- Handles Sticky/High-Temp Dust: Uses water spray to trap dust (e.g., ceramics, foundries).
- Combined Gas Purification: Can remove certain harmful gases (e.g., SO2, HCl).
- Wastewater Generation: Requires water treatment systems, risking secondary pollution.
- Simple Structure: But pumps and nozzles wear out easily, needing frequent maintenance.
4. Cyclone Dust Collector
Features:
- Simple & No Consumables: Relies on centrifugal force; low maintenance.
- For Coarse Particles: Efficient for dust >10μm but limited for fine particles.
- Often Used as Pre-Cleaner: Typically the first stage in multi-stage systems.
- High Pressure Drop: Energy consumption rises at high airflow rates.
5. Cartridge Dust Collector
Features:
- Compact & Efficient: Takes less space than baghouses; ideal for workshops/welding fumes.
- Easy Maintenance: Cartridges are replaceable; some allow online cleaning.
- Effective for Fine Dust: Better than baghouses for PM2.5-level particles.
- Higher Cost: Cartridges are generally more expensive than filter bags.
